Hand driven wooden coin bank, where a snail is coming out of her house and gets the money.
A coin bank from the seventies inspired me. A worm came out of an apple and took the money. I liked the idea, but I found the implementation not so great. Therefore I have built my own version.
The snail is driven by hand. Four turns of the crank result in a cycle. A linkage controls the path of the snail.
This project is well suited for beginners. The coin bank is not intended for young children because they can swallow small parts.
